Spooky Trees

Playing with color is my favorite reason to paint with watercolor. I love to see what the paint will do on its own, like in the background of this painting.

The eerie light of a fall full moon was the inspiration for this painting. Tree silhouettes against the bright night sky are a neighborhood staple in the fall around North Kansas City.
