Fir Forest

Playing with color is my favorite reason to paint with watercolor. I love to see what the paint will do on its own, like in this palette knife painting.

I studied palette knife watercolor painting for a year, and learned I could paint a huge variety of subjects without a brush, such as these fir trees. Look closely, and you too can see the knife strokes for how each tree came about.
